Innovative Contemporary Abstract Art Prints For Sale

Happy New Year, everyone. I’m encouraged daily to bravely pursue my unique creative avenue as I view the incredible life-giving artwork you share on social media. While I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, I always had to work in more than just one medium. There are so many new things and experiences to discover, especially when creating art. Why limit yourself? I don’t. Years ago, a well-known university painting professor told me I wouldn’t be satisfied sticking to static images. Deep down, I knew I wouldn’t stick to one genre of art. Instead, I would pay homage to them by taking a little art history and attaching it to each series. Recently, I’ve been combining photography and digital art to produce abstract artworks strikingly commercial as they are experimental. In my Powders and Plants series, I blend pictures of airborne pigmented powder with the lines and textures of some of your favorite nursery plants. Some may think I do this just for kicks. There may be some of that going on here, but I have a goal for each series. The goal is one of transformation. Powders and plants transform into abstract expressionist art.

Even though my concentration was painting in college, I had an intense interest in photography. But every time I tried to sign up for a class, they were all full. As a result, it took me two semesters to hold a camera and shoot anything my heart desired for a grade. Many years passed after that, and now I use whatever medium will help me express my idea best.
